Promoting Regulatory Excellence 2007 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS ................................................................................. CLEAR's Board of Directors wishes to solicit nominations for 2007-2009 members of its Board of Directors as well as for the position of 2007-2008 President-Elect. Five board seats and the office of president-elect will be available in September 2007. Two incumbents, including the associate board member, are eligible to run for re-election to their current board seats. The President and the Immediate Past President will continue on the board, as will three members whose terms expire in September 2008.A potential nominee must be both willing and able to serve. Board member terms are for a period of two years and eligible board members may stand for re-election to one additional two-year term. CLEAR's Board of Directors meets at least twice a year in various North American locations. Expenses for attending these meetings as well as any other expenses incurred as a result of the office are borne by the individuals or the agencies/organizations they represent. Among the criteria you should consider when nominating yourself or someone else for office are knowledge of occupational and professional regulation, commitment to the goals and programs of CLEAR, service to CLEAR, demonstrated leadership, and demonstrated ability to commit the necessary time and expense.
