Membership
CLEAR's broad membership consists of regulatory boards, colleges, organizations, vendors and other stakeholders from across the international regulatory community. The organization is in service to any entity or individual involved in the licensure, non-voluntary certification, or registration of the hundreds of regulated occupations and professions.

Membership includes representatives of the following groups:
  • Licensing boards and agencies
  • Regulatory colleges and organizations
  • Associations of agencies/organizations
  • Other government organizations
  • Employees of government/regulatory agencies
  • Certifying organizations
  • State/Provincial Associations
  • National Professional Associations
  • Testing and Measurement Companies
  • Consultants
  • Lawyers/law firms
  • Academics with an interest in the field
Regular CLEAR membership is open to:¨
  • government agencies and legislated (publicly mandated) organizations concerned with professional and occupational regulation
  • associations of government agencies and legislated (publicly mandated) organizations concerned with professional and occupational regulation. (Membership benefits accrue only to such organizations' national officers, directors and employees)
  • individual employees or officials of government agencies and legislated (publicly mandated) organizations concerned with professional and occupational regulation.

Associate CLEAR membership is open to:

  • organizations not eligible for regular membership that have an interest in professional and occupational regulation, including state/provincial professional associations and national professional associations. (All benefits from membership accrue to the parent organization and not to the individual organizations comprising its membership)
  • individuals employed by or affiliated with an organization eligible for Associate membership; however, such an individual shall not represent that organization
  • vendors who supply goods and services to regulatory agencies/organizations
  • other individuals who are interested in occupational and professional regulation.
