What is the NCIT Basic Program?
Since 1984, the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation has provided a three-day, hands-on training and certification program in investigation and inspection techniques and procedures. To date, over 15,000 compliance and discipline professionals have benefited from the expert instruction provided. The program takes the investigator through every step in the investigative process: from planning the investigation to writing the report. Even if you are an experienced investigator, you are certain to gain new skills and knowledge from this course. Teaching methodologies include lectures, role playing, group activities and video presentations. A downloadable Basic program flyer is available HERE.
What is the NCIT Specialized Program?
While the Basic Program provides a core curriculum for certification, the Specialized Program offers advanced certification in individual subject areas. Each module is an eight-hour session designed to promote interaction through use of small groups, role-playing exercises and case studies. A downloadable Specialized program flyer is available HERE.
NCIT Additional Modules
CLEAR is pleased to offer four additional modules in the NCIT Program: Drug Diversion Investigations; Investigating Allegations of Sexual Misconduct; Communication Skills and the Art of Persuasion; and Developing a Professional Attitude: Ethics for the Regulatory Investigator. Each is a half-day program. Modules can be offered together or separately, depending on sponsors’ interest. Modules are also often presented following the NCIT Programs at the annual conference.
Who should attend?
The courses are general enough to apply to investigators and inspectors working in a wide range of professions. The content is also useful for board executives responsible for analyzing complaints and board attorneys who wish to gain a greater appreciation of the skill level and work involved in investigations and inspections.
What is the cost?
Registration fees for the programs are set at $375 for the Basic and $450 for the Specialized NCIT. This includes the cost of all training materials, the examination and coffee breaks during the programs.
Can I receive CEUs for this course?
