U.S. Department of Defense to revive grant program for military spouses, supporting costs of professional licensing and certification

A popular program offering Military Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) is be restarted by the U.S. Department of Defense, and will accept new applications from October 2010. Initially suspended in February 2010 after demand threatened its budget, the program's eligibility criteria has been revised to reduce the value of grants on offer, and restrict their use to costs associated with occupational regulation programs and associate degrees.
