Illinois approves bill for hair braiders

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn has signed into law a bill allowing hair-braiders who can demonstrate they have practiced for a minimum of two years to receive a hair-braiding license upon payment of a fee. All other hair-braiders will be required to complete 300 hours of training in braiding methods and sanitation.
