KENTUCKY
This legislative session, Kentucky's lawmakers created a telehealth board to oversee a network of rural and university sited telehealth centers. Reimbursement of services provided for all currently licensed health professions including dietitians and nutritionists, optometrists, chiropractors, dentists, nurses, physicians, respiratory care practitioners, psychologists, occupational therapists, ophthalmic dispensers, physical therapists, specialists in hearing instruments, speech-language pathologists and audiologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, certified professional counselors, and fee-based pastoral counselors (Acts Chap. 376).
They also passed a provision allowing for licensed professional counseling board to engage in reciprocity of certification with other states (Acts Chap. 252) and amended a number of professional scopes of practice.

MICHIGAN, WASHINGTON and UTAH received the highest rating in Governing Magazine's 2001 Government Performance Project. All three states rated an A- overall average for management of state government. The five areas analyzed to compile the data were; financial management, capital management, human resources, managing for results and information technology.
