The Canadian Drug Store Inc. Pleads Guilty
The Ontario
College of Pharmacists announced the resolution of its case against The Canadian
Drug Store Inc. et. al. The Canadian Drug Store Inc. plead guilty to one
offense contrary to the Regulated Health Profession Act, 1991 and four charges
contrary to the Drug and Pharmacies Regulation Act. The charges related to
unlawfully operating as a pharmacy and dispensing drugs without proper
accreditation. The Canadian Drug Store Inc. advertised on the Internet
that it was a source of low cost Canadian drugs to American patients. The Ontario College of Pharmacists warns customers to
verify the legitimacy of Internet pharmacy websites prior to purchasing products
from the site.
