Indiana considers occupational regulations review

A bill passed in the Indiana House would require state agencies to review occupational regulations to determine their necessity in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of citizens. They will need to analyze the regulations' effect on opportunities for workers, consumer choices and costs, general unemployment, market competition, and government costs, as well as compare Indiana's regulations with similar regulations in other states. A report will be due by October 1, 2024.
