CLEAR News - Spring 2005
|
Welcome to the revised version of CLEAR News Online. In January, we listened to what you said about the need for CLEAR to provide its members with current information, yet not overload them with too many individual pieces of information. As a quarterly publication, CLEAR News couldn’t contain much in the way of timely reporting, so we’ve settled on switching it to a Web log (blog). This format permits posting of items as we become aware of them and also allows you to provide news articles, legislation, or other items of interest that are online in your area. Just let us know about them and we’ll add a link from CLEAR’s Web log. You’ll still receive a periodic e-mail reminder that the latest edition of the Web log is ready, but readers interested in reading the news can drop by anytime as it is being built online. CLEAR:
A Sterling Regulatory Resource for 25 Years On the must-attend list is a special Friday morning session, A CLEAR Celebration of Past, Present and Future, with featured speakers Charles Barner, Jr., Margaret Risk, and Wellington Webb. During Saturday’s luncheon, the 2004-2005 chairs and vice-chairs will be recognized for their special contributions this year. The conference flyer will be available soon, but I’d like to let you know about one exciting change. This year, your registration fee will include a pre-conference ethics workshop on Wednesday evening and your choice of board member training, a test development workshop, or a testing security practices workshop, all on Thursday morning.
