I am pleased and honored to accept this nomination to the CLEAR Board of Directors. CLEAR’s mission of promoting regulatory excellence is very much in keeping with the mission of the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy to promote, preserve, and protect the public health, safety, and welfare through effective regulation of the practice of Pharmacy in the Commonwealth.

Prior to joining the Board of Pharmacy, my career afforded me the opportunity to gain considerable experience in various pharmacy practice settings which has proven to be of great benefit in my interactions with our permit holders and licensees. This group is comprised of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacies, medicinal gas suppliers, and pharmaceutical wholesalers/manufacturers. Collaboration with other agencies including the Kentucky Bureau of Investigation, the Food and Drug Administration and the Kentucky Office of Inspector General Drug Enforcement & Professional Practices Branch is also a vital and rewarding part of my work with the Board of Pharmacy.

I have found my affiliation with CLEAR and service on its subcommittees and Special Interest Groups to be invaluable as I continue to pursue opportunities to advance the practice of pharmacy through effective communication, education, examination and regulation. If elected, I commit to bring this same level of dedication to my service on the CLEAR Board of Directors.
