Some recent high profile cases have put the spotlight on regulators and their investigators. A quality investigation can be the cornerstone of a successful prosecution. This session will explore influential regulatory cases where investigative errors, oversights or misjudgments have created challenges for regulators and prosecutors. The presenters will bring forward the issues and opportunities for learning from a couple of these cases, with a view to expanding on those and others at their presentation at the Annual CLEAR Conference. The objective is to discuss strategies on how to conduct investigations that provide the right information the right way. Attendees will gain practical strategies and best practices to improve their investigations and the likelihood of a successful prosecution. This is a background webinar to a companion session, Epic Outcomes: Improving Your Investigations by Learning from History, to be presented at the CLEAR conference in Portland.
