Blockchain is "an open, distributed ledger that can record transactions between two parties efficiently and in a verifiable and permanent way" (from Harvard Business Review).  What are the potential uses of blockchain technology, and what does this mean for regulatory organizations?  This webinar will introduce how the blockchain works and will provide key examples that highlight its application across multiple industries. In addition, the discussion will touch on why the blockchain is receiving so much attention lately.

Presenter:

Sean O'Kelly, Chief Information Officer, Financial and Professional Regulation, Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology
