Policy Statements and Appraisal Regulation

CLEAR and AARO are offering this training program before the AARO conference to expand the participant’s appraiser regulatory knowledge necessary for administering a state appraiser and appraisal management company regulatory program. Lessons will include:

• Overview of the Appraiser Regulatory Structure
• Appraisal Subcommittee’s (ASC) Policy Statements
• Compliance with Title XI of the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989 (Title XI of FIRREA), as amended by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 (Dodd-Frank)
• An introductory discussion on emerging concepts on Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) will be had along with what will be developed in the future to support DEI initiatives.

The cost for this training program is $200.00

Safe Meeting Guidelines

As this program will be in-person and funded by the federal government, this training will be following the following Covid safety protocols:

• In-person attendees at any meetings, conferences, and events hosted by an agency, regardless of size, must be asked to provide information about vaccination status.
• In-person attendees who are not fully vaccinated or decline to provide information about their vaccination status must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test completed no later than the previous 3 days and comply with masking and physical distancing requirements (mask and 6 feet).
• In-person attendees in areas of high or substantial transmission must wear a mask in public indoor settings regardless of vaccination status.

Note: For those states that do not have current ASC Grants, CLEAR has funding availability to offset travel and registration costs for this training session.  (AARO Conference registration costs and extended hotel stays to attend the entire AARO conference are not eligible for reimbursement and must be paid separately.)  Up to two participants per state will each receive reimbursement of up to $1800 to offset airline, hotel, registration, and per-diem costs.  

Reimbursement must be pre-approved before costs are incurred.  Please contact David Byerman (dbyerman@clearhq.org) to request this travel assistance.  Requests will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to funding availability.
