Evaluation criteria include:
- Contribution impact - judged on the scope and impact of enhancing a regulatory event, improving a regulatory process, or providing exemplary public or consumer protection
- Professional attributes - Achievement Orientation: a concern for surpassing a standard of excellence; Innovative Thinking: the ability to integrate and apply complex concepts, develop creative solutions, anticipate opportunities to prevent problems or issues, and/or to adapt previous solutions in new ways for breakthrough thinking in the regulatory field; Work has a documented impact beyond the job's regular assignment and performance objectives to improve the regulatory mission of the organization
- Impact to other regulatory professionals; extent to which the contribution is an example to other regulatory professionals
