CLEAR's midyear business meetings in New Orleans were both well attended and productive. Some of the significant decisions that resulted include:

In an earlier meeting, the Board of Directors met to consider the annual conference format. It was decided that the Friday awards luncheon will be replaced with an informal event and that the awards will be given out during the opening reception. Beginning with the year 2000 conference, the business meetings will begin on Tuesday at noon and conclude with the Board meeting on Thursday morning. The annual conference will begin on Thursday afternoon and conclude Saturday afternoon.

The site of the 2000 annual conference is the Wyndham Hotel on Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida. The 2001 conference will be held at the San Antonio Hyatt in San Antonio, Texas.

Session planning for the 1998 annual conference in Denver is well underway and the promotional flyer with all the details should be in your hands by early April. In the meantime, thank you for your support of CLEAR. Please let me know if you have ideas for how to improve OUR organization.
