Free information-sharing webinar: From Data to Regulatory Decisions: Implementing the Cross-Profession Minimum Data Set
CLEAR Learning - Webinar
ZOOM
Event Details
Timely, accurate health workforce data is critical for shaping policy and programs. It supports efforts such as identifying workforce shortages, guiding education and regulatory initiatives, anticipating employment needs, and substantiating funding requests. Robust data also allows regulators and policymakers to assess current programs and prepare for future demands.
The Cross-Profession Minimum Data Set (CPMDS) offers a core group of standardized questions designed to capture the essential information needed for health workforce planning. Its purpose is to create consistency in data collection across health professions, making it possible to compare and analyze trends both within and across disciplines. The CPMDS also serves as a foundation for developing profession-specific data collection tools.
This webinar will provide attendees with an overview of the CPMDS tool and a description of various regulatory implementation approaches and considerations, with a focus on recent developments and challenges to adoption/implementation. Webinar attendees will also participate in an "Off the Record" Discussion and Questions segment (not being recorded), providing an opportunity for the audience to engage in discussing learnings and questions generated from the presentation.
Speakers:
Richard Woolf, Chief Professional Officer, Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
Hannah Maxey, Director, Bowen Center for Health Workforce Research and Policy
