Program Delivery

CLEAR is committed to providing high-quality training and services to regulators. The NCIT Basic program is available both online and in-person — attendees have access to the same highly-rated training program regardless of the delivery method they choose.

In-Person

Delivered over three days as hands-on training and certification. Attendees work together through the modules with an instructor. At the end of the third day, an exam is administered onsite by CLEAR Staff.

Online

A hybrid approach using synchronous and asynchronous training. The course consists of six self-paced modules plus four live instructor-led sessions, culminating in a proctored online exam conducted in the CLEAR Learning portal.

Certification

Eligible for CLEAR Certification: Participants who complete the NCIT Basic curriculum, pass the course exam, and meet the one-year employment requirement as a regulatory investigator or inspector may apply for CLEAR certification.

NCIT Basic Final Exam

The NCIT Basic Final Exam is taken at the end of the training program, whether you attend online or in person. Expand each section below for details.

Exams for online participants are accessible through the CLEAR Learning portal. The exam will be made available at the conclusion of the final live virtual session. Attendees will have two weeks from the end of the program to complete the exam. Please note that the exam is proctored virtually in real time to ensure integrity and security.

For those attending an NCIT Basic program in person, a CLEAR Staff member will administer your exam on-site at the end of the three-day program. This test is conducted through the CLEAR Learning portal. Please note that the exam is proctored virtually in real time to ensure integrity and security. Attendees are required to provide their own computer or tablet with a forward-facing camera for testing purposes.
