Compliance 2.0-Catching Licensees Doing Something Right

Let’s face it, inspections are fundamentally about catching license/permit holders doing something wrong. Compliance monitoring on the other hand is about identifying areas of improvement and then providing owners and managers with the tools and resources needed to do things right. By shifting focus to corrections and prevention, the nature of the relationship between the regulatory agency and licensee changes, as does the licensee’s level of competence. In this session, participants will learn how regulatory agencies are using compliance monitoring, and a powerful management concept called “catching people doing something right” to build trust and camaraderie with license/permit holders.
