Event Details
CLEAR's National Certified Investigator/Inspector Training (NCIT) – Basic Programme (Canadian) is a foundational professional development experience designed for regulatory investigators and inspectors at all stages of their careers. Whether you are new to the field or looking to formalise and strengthen your investigative practice, the NCIT Basic Programme provides the core knowledge and skills essential to conducting thorough, fair, and defensible regulatory investigations.
This programme is delivered in a hybrid format that combines independent study with live, instructor-led sessions. Participants engage directly with experienced regulatory professionals through interactive discussions, practical exercises, and real-world case applications. The curriculum covers the full investigative process — from jurisdiction and complaint intake through evidence collection, interviewing, report writing, and administrative proceedings.
Once you have registered for the programme, you will receive a link to register for the Welcome Session — a live Zoom session hosted by CLEAR staff that kicks off your learning experience. During this session, we will walk through what to expect from the programme, how to navigate the learning portal, and what will be required of you along the way.
Successful completion of this programme requires attending all required instructor-led sessions, completing the assigned independent study, and passing a final exam.
