CLEAR's National Certified Investigator & Inspector Training (NCIT) Subject Matter Workshop Series brings together four targeted professional development programs designed to deepen the investigative expertise of regulatory investigators and inspectors. Whether you are looking to strengthen a specific skill area or build across multiple disciplines, this series gives you the flexibility to participate in the programs that are most relevant to your work.
The series includes four programs:
Drug Diversion Investigations
A comprehensive overview of how diversion occurs in healthcare settings, how to investigate it, and how to prevent it.
Investigating Reports of Sexual Misconduct
Equips regulatory professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to handle sexual misconduct investigations thoroughly, fairly, and with the care they demand.
Communication Skills and the Art of Persuasion
Introduces key components of effective communication, including preparation and delivery techniques, the use of language and physicality, listening skills, and presentation aids.
Developing a Professional Attitude: Ethics for the Regulatory Investigator
Deepens participants' understanding of ethical standards and their practical application in regulatory investigations.
These virtual programs are delivered via the CLEAR Learning Portal and combine self-paced independent study with live, instructor-led virtual sessions to accommodate all learning styles. All instructor-led sessions are displayed in Eastern Time (ET).
The series kicks off with a Welcome & Introduction Session on December 1, 2026, where CLEAR staff will walk participants through the program timeline, expectations, and a portal navigation demonstration. Upon registering for any combination of programs in the series, you will receive an email with instructions for joining the Welcome & Introduction Session. Attending this session is strongly encouraged.

Technical Requirements
To participate in this program, you will need:
- A PC (Windows 8 or later) or Mac (macOS 10.13 or later)
- The latest version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox
- A reliable wired or Wi-Fi internet connection
- A functioning microphone and webcam
CLEAR strongly recommends against using MiFi devices or VPN connections due to bandwidth requirements.
Cancellation Policy
Substitutions are welcome at any time prior to the program start date. Cancellations are subject to a $95 USD service charge. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made less than two weeks before the program start date. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
