Event Details

CLEARinghouse Chats are a valued member benefit, offering CLEAR members a space to collaborate, stay connected, and engage in timely and relevant regulatory discussions.

This Chat session will focus on recent legal cases and their implications for regulatory practice. A strong understanding of the legal framework in which regulators operate is essential to achieving regulatory excellence. Because this framework continues to evolve through significant court decisions, regulators must stay informed about emerging legal developments and their implications for regulatory practice. In this interactive virtual chat session, participants will consider recent cases in regulatory law, with brief overviews to refresh their understanding before we invite open discussion among attendees to share perspectives, reactions, and insights into what these decisions mean for regulators in practice.

Each breakout room will feature three different cases for discussion. You can use the reference materials linked below to familiarize yourself with the cases. The registration form will allow you to select the room/discussion you are most interested in. Your response will help us plan the breakout rooms, but you will have an opportunity to choose your room when the session begins. Participants are encouraged to turn on webcams/microphones during this interactive, discussion-based session.
