Event Details
Drug diversion in healthcare settings poses serious risks to patient welfare, regulatory compliance, and public trust. This program provides a comprehensive overview of how diversion occurs, how to investigate it, and how to prevent it.
Participants will examine the motives and methods behind drug diversion, the types of drugs most commonly involved, accountability systems, and the broader impacts on individuals and society. The course also covers relevant regulatory frameworks, investigative techniques, and collaborative strategies for addressing diversion effectively.
This workshop is delivered in a hybrid format that combines self-paced independent study with live, instructor-led sessions. Participants begin by completing independent study content through CLEAR's Learning Portal, then attend two live two-hour virtual workshop sessions held over two weeks. All live sessions are held in Eastern Time (ET).
Once you have registered for the program, you will receive a link to register for the Welcome & Introduction Session — a live Zoom session hosted by CLEAR staff. During this session, we will walk through program expectations, how to navigate the learning portal, and what will be required of you throughout the program. Attending this session is strongly encouraged as it sets you up for success from day one.
Successful completion of this program requires attending all required instructor-led sessions and completing the assigned independent study. All program components must be completed within 30 days of the program start date.
In keeping with CLEAR's commitment to sustainability, all virtual CLEAR Learning programs use eBooks in place of printed materials.
Technical Requirements
To participate in this program, you will need:
- A PC (Windows 8 or later) or Mac (macOS 10.13 or later)
- The latest version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox
- A wired or Wi-Fi internet connection
- A functioning microphone and webcam
Cancellation Policy
Substitutions are welcome at any time prior to the program start date. Cancellations are subject to a $95 USD service charge. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made less than two weeks before the program start date. Participants must complete the program within 30 days of the program start date to avoid forfeiting their registration fee. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
