CLEAR President's Message- May 2025

Posted By: Staci Mason President's Message,

As we transition through the seasons and approach the second half of the year, I’m delighted to share several exciting developments from CLEAR and remind you of key opportunities for involvement in our work together.

First, I’m pleased to announce that virtual registration options are now available for CLEAR’s 2025 Annual Educational Conference, taking place in Chicago, September 15–18. Whether you’re joining us in person or online, this year’s program promises dynamic sessions, international perspectives, and practical insights for regulators at all stages of their careers. The availability of virtual access ensures that more of our global community can engage with the exceptional content and conversations that define CLEAR’s annual gathering. We look forward to welcoming you—wherever you are.

A sincere thank you to everyone who submitted to our 2025 awards program. We received a record number of submissions this year, highlighting innovation, dedication, and excellence in professional and occupational regulation. Your contributions affirm the strength and creativity of our international regulatory community.

If you are considering greater involvement in CLEAR’s leadership, I encourage you to submit your nomination to serve on the Board of Directors. The deadline to do so is June 20. Board service is an excellent way to shape the direction of the organization and contribute to advancing regulatory practices across jurisdictions. Information about competencies and leadership duties is available on CLEAR’s website.

We are also pleased to share that the deadline for the INPTRA scholarship program has been extended to June 8. This scholarship provides valuable support for participation in CLEAR events and training opportunities. If you or someone in your organization could benefit, please don’t miss this opportunity to apply.

Looking ahead, I am especially excited about CLEAR’s 8th International Congress and Regulatory Research Day, which will take place in Wellington, New Zealand, December 3–5, 2025. This important event brings together regulators, researchers, and policymakers from around the world. The program for the Regulatory Research Day has now been published and promises deep insights and global perspectives on the future of regulation.

Finally, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the more than 140 committee members who lend their time, expertise, and energy to support CLEAR and the broader regulatory community. Your efforts help ensure that our work remains relevant, collaborative, and grounded in excellence. Thank you for all that you do.

I look forward to connecting with you in Chicago or Wellington in the coming months as we continue this important work together.
