CLEAR's President's Message- September 2023
I was honored to welcome hundreds of regulators from across three continents to CLEAR’s 2023 conference in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah. Together we have learned about the latest in regulatory innovation and expanded our network of global regulatory stakeholders. We were challenged and inspired by the words of our keynote and plenary speakers, impressed by the worthy recipients of CLEAR’s 2023 awards program, and announced new leadership following the results of the 2023-24 Board election. My Presidential term is now drawing to a close and it has been a privilege to lead an organization that means so much to me. I’m proud to hand CLEAR over to incoming President, Marc Spector, and look forward to supporting him in the coming year as CLEAR’s Immediate Past President.
In the days ahead, we will welcome members serving on one of CLEAR’s standing committees, or one of the working groups, who together will drive forward the work of our association. If you are a CLEAR member and haven’t yet joined a committee, please consider doing so. We are enriched by the involvement of each committee member and look forward to all that next year’s committee work will bring. The committees next meet in person in Tucson, Arizona from January 11-12, 2024, following the organization’s Winter Symposium a day earlier.
In the fall of 2024, we’ll meet in inspiring Baltimore, Maryland for CLEAR’s 44th annual educational conference, where a program built by regulators, for regulators will be offered. Your participation is welcome, whether as a presenter or participant. Conference session proposals are due in mid-November and registration for the 2024 conference will open early in 2024.
There is an exciting year ahead – and much work to do. I hope you’ll join me in supporting incoming President Marc Spector as he assumes the role. It has been a privilege to serve you during the past year. Thank you for all you have done to support me.
