Illinois continues CORE online system expansion
Illinois has expanded the number of professional licenses available through its modernized online regulatory system known as the Comprehensive Online Regulatory Environment (CORE), adding six new license types as part of Phase 3.2 of the platform’s rollout. The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) said the update lets individuals in fields such as clinical social work, professional counselling, social work, professional land surveying and those seeking temporary medical permits apply for licensure online using the CORE system. This expansion is intended to streamline application processes, reduce reliance on older paper-based methods and eventually bring more license categories into a single, integrated digital environment for professionals and regulators.
