Nigeria introduces licensing for interior designers

Industry stakeholders in Nigeria have launched the Institute of Professional Interior Designers and Product Inventors (IPIDPI) in Lagos, introducing a licensing system for interior designers and product inventors. The body aims to standardize practice across the profession by establishing education standards, accreditation procedures and professional regulation. The initiative is seen as a move to formalize the sector, address unregulated practice, ensure that practitioners meet established criteria, and elevate the industry’s recognition and credibility.
