ACKNOWLEDGEEffective as of March 1, 2024, optometrists in North Carolina may register with the Board of Pharmacy to dispense certain prescription drugs for the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions. An initial registration fee and annular renewal fee are required. The Board of Pharmacy may discipline optometrists for failure to comply with laws and regulations that apply to pharmacists.
