Nova Scotia amends licensing process for internationally-educated nurses
Changes to be implemented in Nova Scotia will expedite the licensure process for internationally-educated nurses. Nurses from the Philippines, India, Nigeria, USA, UK, Australia, and New Zealand will still be required to pass the national entry-to-practice exam, but policy and process changes will now allow licenses to be processed in a few weeks as opposed to over a year. The Nova Scotia College of Nurses licensed 282 international nurses in 2022.
