UAE launches streamlined Zero Bureaucracy program

Mobility, Regulation by Country,

As part of its “Zero Bureaucracy” initiative, the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention has drastically streamlined licensing processes for healthcare professionals and facilities, notably halving the number of services from 32 to 16 in its first phase and reducing professional evaluation steps by 50% and documentation by up to 70% through automated systems and integrated digital networks, accelerating approvals from weeks to as little as five days. A major development is the elimination of reassessments when transferring licenses between the Dubai Health Authority and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, effectively enabling licensed professionals to move across emirates more swiftly and with fewer administrative hurdles. For licensing boards, this means enhanced operational efficiency and reduced redundant bureaucratic tasks, while professionals benefit from faster credentialing, lower paperwork burdens, improved mobility, and significant time and cost savings.
