Wisconsin legislature approves budget for temporary employees

Wisconsin's Joint Finance Committee has established a budget that adds 18 positions to the Department of Safety and Professional Services, positions that will be two- or four-year project positions rather than permanent positions. This is less than the 36-40 positions requested. The budget does include $4.4 million for an upgrade to the Department's new license application processing software.
