CLEAR’s 2026 Regional Symposia Head to Canada This Spring
This spring, CLEAR is proud to bring its Regional Symposia series to Canada, creating meaningful opportunities for regulators and regulatory professionals to connect, collaborate, and engage in timely conversations shaping the future of regulation.
The 2026 Regional Symposia will take place in three Canadian cities:
Designed with local regulatory communities in mind, CLEAR’s Regional Symposia offer a space to exchange insights, share experiences, and explore emerging challenges in today’s complex regulatory environment.
A Focused Series Built Around a Shared Theme
Each Regional Symposium is a one-day, in-person event centered on a single, thought-provoking theme. While the programs are tailored to reflect regional perspectives and priorities, all three symposia are unified by a common focus—encouraging open dialogue, practical learning, and collaboration among professionals committed to regulatory excellence.
The full program agendas for each city will be released in early 2026. Though each agenda is unique, all will explore the same overarching theme, offering diverse viewpoints and discussions across Canada.
2026 Program Theme: Regulating in a Political World
The 2026 Regional Symposia series will examine Regulating in a Political World, a timely and increasingly relevant topic for regulatory professionals.
This year’s programs will explore how political pressures, public expectations, and shifting government priorities influence regulatory decision-making. Through engaging sessions and peer discussion, attendees will uncover practical strategies to navigate this evolving landscape and strengthen their organizations’ ability to remain effective, credible, and resilient at the intersection of regulation and politics.
Vancouver Kicks Off the Series
The 2026 Regional Symposia series begins in Vancouver, BC, on April 27, 2026, bringing together regulators and regulatory stakeholders for a focused, one-day event.
Vancouver’s agenda will feature a dynamic mix of presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions examining topics such as:
-
Oversight and amalgamation
-
The influence of political ideology on regulation
-
Mobility and workforce pressures
-
Indigenous reconciliation
-
Shifting government–regulator dynamics
Together, these sessions will offer a candid, pragmatic, and forward-looking examination of how regulatory organizations can remain responsive and effective amid political change.
