Bermuda: consultations on modernization of health professional regulation
Consultations will begin early next year on proposed major reforms to Bermuda’s health professional regulations, marking the first significant update in decades. The Bermuda Health Council, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, plans a collaborative, transparent process involving health professionals, patients, and the public. Reform efforts will target professional legislation, board governance, regulatory oversight, competence standards, and workforce capacity. Implementation support will be coordinated by the health council, and engagement will include focus groups, written submissions, and open consultations.
