DC initiative to offer financial aid for counseling students

The Pathways to Behavioral Degrees Act has been endorsed by the D.C mayor and is expected to receive approval in Congress. The Act would allow budget funds to offer tuition and funding to DC students pursuing counseling degrees. In exchange for financial assistance, those participating in the program agree to spend a minimum of three years of service in a D.C. government agency, a local education agency within D.C., or a healthcare provider operating in D.C.
