Oregon proposes task force to streamline health care licensing
The Oregon House had been considering a bill to issue temporary licenses to applicants in good standing in another state, giving them a year to complete Oregon requirements. That bill has now been amended to instead create a Task Force on Health Professional Licensing Modernization. The task force would consider how to improve licensing for the medical board, social work, dentistry, physical therapy, and nursing. Representatives from several of the licensing boards addressed the House committee to describe improvements they are already undertaking.
