Philippines Psychological Assocation opposes changes to requirements

New qualifications to a permit to operate a psychology or psychometrics office or clinic include that the head of the psychological services unit (PSU) “must be a registered and licensed psychologist who possesses a master’s degree in Psychology, with at least seven years of experience as a psychologist, three years of which is in a supervisory capacity.” The Psychological Association of the Philippines has raised concern that those who passed the licensing exam after 2017 and opened an independent private practice would not be eligible.
