US: changes to engineering exam

Major changes are taking place for the Practice of Engineering exam overseen by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. The new format places more emphasis on discipline-specific content. Instead of a Breadth Segment to test general engineering knowledge across five subdisciplines, there are now five distinct exams, each dedicated solely to its subdiscipline. New subtopics have also been added, and the exam has moved from open-book to only allowing access to the PE Reference Handbook.
