Nigeria: MoU for construction industry regulators

The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON), and the Council of Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG) have signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening regulatory cooperation in Nigeria’s construction and built environment sector. Signed by the leaders of each organization, the MoU reflects a strategic commitment to enhance professional accountability, close regulatory gaps, and uphold global standards in engineering, building, and geoscience practices. The agreement builds on a prior bilateral MoU between CORBON and COREN and is intended to foster collaboration, share resources, and coordinate enforcement efforts.
