Texas-Arkansas reciprocity for master electricians

Texas and Arkansas have agreed to expand electrician license reciprocity, allowing licensed master electricians from either state to work in the other without having to obtain a separate license or take additional exams, provided they have held a master license in good standing for at least one year. The agreement, part of efforts by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to address workforce needs and support economic growth, stems from recent state legislation encouraging reciprocity deals. Texas already has similar reciprocity arrangements with several other states for both master and journeyman electricians, and the agency plans to pursue further agreements that align with its licensing standards while maintaining public safety and professional oversight.
