Wyoming: veterinary technician bill does not move forward

A recently proposed bill in Wyoming intended to formalize title protection and licensing for veterinary technicians did not receive committee sponsorship and therefore did not advance. The initiative, broadly supported by veterinary organizations, aimed to enhance public safety and professional accountability by aligning state standards with national norms. Despite this setback during the legislative process, efforts by veterinary associations—including the Wyoming Veterinary Medical Association—continue. The groundwork laid this session may facilitate reintroduction in future legislative cycles.
