IAMRA recognizes US osteopathic physicians

The International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities has passed a resolution brought forward by the Federation of State Medical Boards to recognize US licensed osteopathic physicians and surgeons (D.O.) as equivalent to physicians and surgeons with an M.D. degree. The resolution also recognizes US "osteopathic physicians and surgeons" as distinct in their training and complete scope of practice from other health professionals commonly referred to as "osteopaths."
